The only way to earn points is if your answer helps the questioner.

(If you ask a question, which will you select as the best answer?)

I answer because I know I can help the person find a movie or some other bit of information. I love making lists, so it's fun when people ask for favorite movies and music. Also, I enjoy doing research; sometimes I see questions that probably won't take that much research though I HAVE spent HOURS on a single question. That's just me being singleminded, or maybe it's the ADHD, which can turn me into a bulldog, tenaciously holding on to a question till I find the answer or at least some information that will help.

Generally, a question has to capture my attention, as this one did!

Honestly, I don't pay attention to the points because I'm doing all right in that department. A lot of people have appreciated my answers, so I don't have to rush around answering a huge amount of questions. Taking my time has worked for me, and a number of people now contact me for movie and TV questions. If I was worried about 2 points each... Well, I'm just not.

I try to answer the question
to the best of my ability
and if it helps someone,
great.
These little 2 points aren't
that much to me.
I view these points just like
the points on Drew Carey's Show,
"Who's Line Is It Anyway?",
The points don't mean anything
and we don't even get to
have fun with Drew Carey after wards.
You have to rack up a whole
slew of points to go from
Level 5 to Level 6.
Either you are retired,
work from home,
disabled
or
have no life of your own.
I try not to stay on here
for more than an hour
at a time,
I have other things that need
to be done,
but this place is so addictive.

I answer questions for all kinds of reasons

I like being helpful
Sometimes, just to rant and rave and foam at the mouth
2 pts. is 2 pts.
In the sports related topics, I enjoy doing some trash-talking
It feels good to be supportive (even in this limited way) for
someone who is having a tough time of things.
And sometimes I feel like being a smart@$$.

Oh yeah, and it's fun.....

Points mean nothing. It's kind of annoying seeing posts that say 10 points to the best answer. Points aren't what this is about.

The points are nice, but I really enjoy answering questions. I also enjoy blogging and commenting online. It is for fun, relaxation, and the hopes that I can impart my wisdom to help some people.

I try to answer what i can if I know the answer or know where to find it. Don't really know what the points will do for me but I will answer if I can.
