I think everyone falls in love with Toto. I know I always wanted
a little dog just like him. But I never have. I have allergies and
asthma being one, I have to watch the exposure to things I'm
allergic to. Tho we do have two short haired Chihuahuas who
are very sweet and lovable, that have changed our lives for
the better. We used to have a Bichon Frise, but she was not
as playful and charismatic as these two little lap warmers are.We rescued the second one, in the spring, and she has
become such a good playmate to our older Chi, who happens
to also be a half sister, even tho she's three years older. They
had the same mother, but different fathers. The older Chi,
kisses and washes the little one. And she's never had a pup.
And the little one had one litter of two, when she was a little
pup herself. That's why we were determined to rescue her.
And we did, with alot of bargaining, and trade offers. She has
the sweetest face of all the Chis' we've ever seen. She is
not afraid of anyone, or thing. We've seen her stand up to a
Great Dane once that even I was scared of. Tho knowing they
are lovable oafs. They can be intimidating.
Our Chi's have brought us such joy, and make our lives
a whole lot happier. They make us laugh so often during the
course of any day. And laughter is what we need more of.

The whole family sat down and watched the Wizard of Oz last night. It was fun. It's been such a long time since we've seen it.
We have 2 German Shepards, a St. Bernard, 2 barn cats, and a house cat that just had 4 kittens 2 weeks ago. I'll spare you going into what we've got out in the barn!

My dear friend, Louis, was a papillon -- a very happy, intelligent, friendly, beautiful dog. Louis died on July 19th of this year and I miss him more than I can describe. Louis made people smile everywhere he went, and he is missed by so many of us. I saw the musical, "Wizard of Oz" at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto a few years ago. Dorothy and Toto made their entrance from the back of the theatre, coming down my aisle to the stage (I had an aisle seat) and I was taken with how Toto was so well-behaved. Later, as I waited on the subway platform to go home, who should make a return appearance, but Toto and his trainer, and I got to meet them.

Wizard of Oz is still a delight after all these years (I live in Kansas....lol)! I had a female calico kitty until last May, she went out as usual that day and just never returned. She was more like my friend to me and I miss her so much. I'll probably get another cat next spring from the shelter.

The Wizard of Oz is awesome. I haven't seen it in a long time. Maybe I will turn it on when my grand-kids come over. They will be 12 by then!!
Our doggy will be six years old next week. He is a big goofy Yellow lab. We were looking for one, when some people in our small town said that next door to them, was a yellow lab. A minister had small children in his house and the dog grew to be too big for them to play with. So we called and went to see him. He was all alone in a muddy back yard. No one paid any attention to him. When the gate opened Sam ran off. He was wild and out of control, but we wanted to love him and give him a good life, so we took him home.
He is our son, Sam. He lives in our house, rides in my husbands truck and chases cats! But we love him.

Toto is adorable. My neighbor had a miniature Yorkie named Tina that recently passed. That little dog of hers won my heart.
I presently have no animals but I am planning to get a little red dachshund, probably the long hair one because they are so loveable.
I used to have a Siamese cat named Kai. He was very interesting. He liked to attack my heels and try to climb the curtains, but I just adore him. My Mom and I had about 8--10 cats some times. She and I are suckers for the hungry felines and we loved them all.
Sorry your doggie is away from you but glad he/she went "home." No pain anymore.

I have know idea how many times I saw it, but I plan on watching a lot more. I love that movie and wish my dog listened a fraction of how Toto did. I have Rocky, a black lab that my husband lived just long enough to spoil rotten and leave me to cope with him!

I saw the ending when she got home. I still love watching it with little Toto.
I had a 14-yr old brown medium-haired tabby who had to be put to sleep. I am getting another one next year. Orange tabby this time.
