I'm a stronger person then I actually realized..being diagnosed with cancer..and having a husband who's over in Iraq for a year..isn't exactly the best thing for me right now..but i somehow get by..and for that I am proud

I learned two things that go together.
That I can only GIVE advice to my 21 year old daughter. It doesn't matter how I say it, why I say it or how often I try to give it. She will do what she wants regardless. Like moving in with her boyfriend. Who I do not like AT ALL. That was a tough lesson for me to learn.
And that all I can do is tell her I love her and make sure she still has her house key. I figure the average life span for a relationship at their age is about 3-5 years. 3 down, 2 to go. I'll hold the door open for her when she comes back.

I spent my first two years of college unsure of what I wanted to do. I finally found out that I am interested in learning about the brain & want to go to medical school and earn a Ph/MD degree in the neurology field.

i learned that i was allergic to nickel. i thought it was harmless eczema but for all those years it turned out to be a severe reaction to the nickel in my clothing/shoes. ive been put on a medicine for it though. found that out when i went to a doctor on 10/31

That I'm a strong person and I can handle anything that comes my way. My family has been through some incredibly tough times lately. :/

That I can raise 5 kids, work part time and support my husband while hes in Iraq...I'm alot stronger then I gave myself credit for...haven't misplaced a kid yet!

That I don't have to beat myself up over her. Because I told her the truth and she couldn't handle it. And it wasn't disrespectful.
