Mine would be Rakim, I think he is one of the best rappers ever, easily one of the best lyricists ever. B ut for some reason I cant get into to him, I just cant listen to his music, it doesnt do anything for me.
So are there any artists that everybody else likes, yet you just dont for some reason?

Well I Respect Him & Give Him Credit His First Album Was One Of my Favorites and i think is easily one of the best lyricists ever. but i was never a real huge Big Daddy Kane Fan

I know what you're saying... There are a few artists that I know have skill but I cannot get into there music. I could never get into DMX's & Eminem's music. Although people say they are great lyricists.

Couldnt reallt get into KRS-1, or Del the Homosapien or Immortal Technique & Artist like that...i know they nice but i think thye pretty borin.

i can never really get into immortal technique, jmt, army of the pharoahs, strong arm steady, and other people that have serious anger issues in their voice. it gets annoying to me after a while. and although i like a lot of mf dooms work, sometimes i just dont understand wtf hes trying to say in his lyrics, so id say i cant really get into mc's that are overly-complicated and use metaphors to the max
