Does anyone know where to get large matchboxes for doing crafts?

I have seen a matchbox treasure chest craft where you decorate the matchboxes and glue them together. Also another craft taking decorated matchboxes, gluing them together to make a Christmas tree shaped version of an advent calendar. I would really like to try something like these but cannot figure out where to get the matchboxes. They would need to be much larger than standard matchboxes with matches in them. Any thoughts??

In hardware stores and many grocery stores, they do have boxes of large matches, designed for lighting stoves and stuff like that. The box is about 3 inches long.
