I am wondering the same thing...it's weird. I guess they like their "roughness?" I personally like guys that treat their women with respect

Some women like men who push their weight around. You'll find that in situations where a male is treating a female like crap, he usually treats everyone else that way too. I guess it's that whole matcho= powerful thing.
I married a 'bad boy" Motorcycle guy, attitude, leather jacket. But he has always treated me with respect. I guess it just comes down to the respect the woman has for herself. If she's with a guy that's a jerk to her, I can guarentee her self-image is very low.

Only if the guy is hot!
No, actually I think only certain types of women like the "bad boys." If you are a respectful guy then you deserve a respectful, classy girl. I know I always loved a guy who knew how to treat a lady. Maybe you could teach my hubby a few things. He treats me like I'm just another guy.

I don't like bad boys, but I have a few friends that do and they say that they like them because they like the excitement and they like going out with him because they also have a good time. I said to them that they can have all that and more with a nice guy but they said that they know this but they fine nice guys boring.
Silly I know but there you go my husband is a nice guy and I its about time that the bad boys took a leaf out of their books and treated their ladies with the respect the deserve

Some women, (like myself)...like the bad boy type because they give us more of a challenge. We really don't look at it like that but that's what it is. You don't get a challenge out of a "perfect" guy. Some like to try and change them to make them love her as much as she loves him. And when they are good to you and show you love it makes you feel sooo LOVED!! I know right crazy, but that's how it is for me. The lovey dovey type just is too boring and you know will always be there for you and you just basically want to know that you gotta work for to keep this bad boy. It's just a young women/girl thing.

Personally, I just think they like the guy's looks. Once they have that, women believe they can change their counterpart's attitudes and thus have the perfect man. It is easier to be superficially attracted to someone, than to work in getting to know someone else's nature.

well....cause in the early days of "mankind" the woman was most attracted to the "alpha male." The man who was rough, tough, strong and dominating....the man who would be the strongest to survive in a harsh environment and to hunt and take care of his family....those types of men have more testosterone which can cause the "jerky" personality as well. So, that is still how it is today.
that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

because they lack self esteem and self respect. It happened to me until I figured it out and realised that I deserved better. A lot of young girls just don't believe that they deserve a Good guy who will treat them well.

Their Dad's were jerks while they were growing up...
So they pick jerks...
Just like their mother did...
Simple...(people are way more "imitative" of their parents than they ever realize...that's why good parenting is so important...Jerks create more jerks...it's the only example they're aware of, because their formative years made a permanent lasting impression on them...)
