Well i am of the opinion that one of the reasons why this has been such a 'GREAT' year for Sachin Tendulkar may be the number of 90's that he's scoring.
See, it is helping Sachin a lot.
******* Reason - Everytime he gets out in 90's,it just increases his hunger to get that damn century. So, he is right now determined to score a century. It's like a mission for him now. As a result of that, he's putting in more and more efforts. Because he knows that he is missing something and he wants to get it as soon as possible.
We have seen Tendulkar going into a poor form after scoring a hundred many times in his career. But it isn't happening now, because he isn't scoring hundreds but the 90's which are almost hundreds but still not hundreds.
Sachin is hungry for a hundred right now. No matter how much these cricketers deny that they don't care about hundreds but i am sure he is hungry for it..
I think these 90's are 'INSPIRING' Sachin to score a hundred next time.

While i agree with your observation that getting out at 90s make sachin more hungry for a century, the fact remains that he does not always plays for his milestone of getting a century as he he wants that he could have converted these 90s and 99s into century by playing cautiously bidding his time, which will reduce the scoring rate and adversely affect the interest of the team.
While he may be hungry for a century he is not letting the team down by trying to achieve that milestone.

sachin tendulakar is one of the greatest player in the world no one can teach him or tell him how to bat properly to get a century. he is trying to improve his batting all the time and he is good however he plays weather he get a hundred or fifty.

My answer would to the issue, but at different angle:
since He is playing for personal records, hence he is losing concentration in nervous 90s
If he plays for country's sake, there would be no nervousness
