I'm looking to donate a used dishwasher that is in good condition.SALVTION ARMY, GOODWILL, and ST. VINCENT DE PAUL have all told me they cannot accept a dishwasher that is a built -in type.Does anyone know of another charity in the L.A. area that accepts Dishwashers. Thanks.

i used to install them and customers used to ask me this question, many places like goodwill and salvation wont except them, but you can try churches. We used to donate them to the church, and they would use them for low income families. If it has rollers, its what they called a portable Dishwasher, and let them know that. It will help you get rid of it.

Did you try the Senior Citizen homes? Look in the Yellow pages and call each one and ask if they can accept the type you have.

I can't help you with donating it, but I can suggest you join Freecycle Los Angles - it's a Yahoo group geared towards recycling items you no longer want. You post what you have and if anyone is interested, they contact you about picking it up.

Good luck.
