Tell me about your worst christmas gift ever. . . whether you were on giving or receiving . . . . or even if you were an innocent onlooker.

I would have to say, not getting one at all in a group of people all getting lots of presents. Makes you feel unwanted and alone.

When I was 4 or 5 and my grandparents asked for Christmas lists, among other things I said "clothes". In fact, clothes were at the bottom of my list. Christmas Day at my grandparents house, every present I opened was CLOTHES. I got only clothes from my aunt, my grandparents, various great aunts and uncles, from everybody all I got was clothes! I got so mad that I had a tantrum about it when I opened the present from my one great aunt. Then she finally calmed me down and showed me that there was a Barney video in the box too. LOL She was the only one who got me something other then clothing. That was the only time I ever had a temper tantrum when I was little, my mom confirms it. Now I don't really care if I get anything for Christmas or not, not because I have a lot of stuff, but because Christmas has never been a big deal at my house so I just don't care that much. (Plus there are 6 kids in my family, you can't do much. *laughs*) When I was 13 though my aunt gave me a "Learn Colors with Kiara!" book. WTH? She was/is a druggie though so I think she forgot how old we were. LOL

the first Christmas i lived in Michigan with my ex-husband we drew names with his family for the holidays.i was excited cause his niece Vicky drew my name and i knew she had great taste! needless to say when i opened my gift of a cheap plastic shower caddy (that she won in a bingo game) i was less than thrilled and never did the name draw again! it was an insult and rude for her to do.her and her husband were well off and had 1 kid at the time a baby! money can not buy class! my gran daughter says her worst two gifts were a purple shirt that was too small and a color she hates and also a star wars poster which she does not like either, she is 11 years old.the person who gave her these gifts was my ex-husbands wife.but you cannot believe the stuff she buys her only real grandkids!!! it is stupid!

lol funny story grace! i think if i received a barney video i would've thrown it out a window or something

Anyhoo worst christmas gifts usually came from my great aunt (love her but not really the gifts)
---small plush bear that smlled like a dryer sheet (strong smell)
---small fake cheap c-mas tree w/ fiber optic lights
---black brush w/ a parrot face on it
---book mark
---bag of mints
---bag of red hots

but finally she started allowing others to buy stuff to give the grandkids that were from her
--One C-mas: received a Tommy H red sweater :-) FINALLY!! something nice

I can't really think of a bad x-mas gift that I've gotten.

But I would hate to get something like socks for x-mas.
That would be the worse present, for me.
