Help, with this marriage question?

I donate plasma with my husband every so often. Every time we go he wants me to wear a hat, and if possible sweats. I have long blonde hair.
He wears a hat as well.
I get hit on a lot, i don't know if that matters.

My question is.,
is this odd? I don't really care, but I don't like being forced to wear a hat. Occasionally when I go, when i am by myself some weird guy will say something to me. When I tell my hubby about it, he gets super pissed and acts like i did something wrong. He makes it like i did something wrong and the situation should have been controlled.
When we go out in public normally, i dress normally, no hats.
He says he wants me to wear a hat because the place is mostly guys. I just don't want to be told what to do!!

I don't like to be looked at by other men, and it bothers me. But I don't like being told every time "Get your hat." If I don't wear it, I think he would get so pissed he would leave me.. what should I do?

It sounds like he is overly possesive to me. And even stranger is him being paranoid that you might be getting checked out by guys at a blood donation bank? That doesn't sound like a very sexy place to pick up people. I wouldn't worry about it if I were him. I think I would be gagging at all the blood there instead

Your husband sounds pretty insecure. He thinks that you are so beautiful that men will hit on you all the time, and he's afraid. He's afraid that he might lose you, or that you could get hurt by some weirdo.

So, you need to ease his fears. What can you do? Let him know that you love him and you can't imagine being with anyone else. Either that, or get pregnant. Getting pregnant is a little extreme, but it works.

You could always find a nicer hat... Or wear your hair in a bun when you go out.

I am assuming you are giving away plasma to earn money and that your husband is not providing for the family in such a way that this is no longer an option. So his basic need to provide for his family is not being met. So he is self-conscious and his self-worth are suffering. Women need love but men need respect from their women. Someone hitting on my woman is disrespectful to me if my woman turned around and said I already have the best man for me then that would bolster his self-confidence and he may actually go out there and prove it to you. If you are liking the hits because you are not being provided for then that is not helping the situation. He is dressing you down so your pert body does not pop out anyones eyes as you walk by. Why don't you give him a break and support him?

Even while married, you are still an individual and can do almost anything you want. So why don't you ask for his reason behind this request.

If you agree with him after the explaination, great. If not, tell him and wear what you want.

Besides, if he's nervous that you're getting hit on and that this will lead to you leaving him there is a simple answer. Tell him, "Let them hit on me. I'm still going home with you silly."

I would just confront him myself with the issue and see how he reacts. It could be a lot of things including jealousy, or insecurities. I wouldn't be too concerned over it myself, but if you think he will leave you if you don't wear a hat. I'm not sure thats a good quality to have in a husband. Good luck sweetie!!

Probably so. He doesn't want other guys checking you out. That's why he's wanting you to cover up. Most likely, he's afraid the person drawing the blood from you may be checking you out as you are laying there donating.

Your an adult do you not have a voice to tell him that you mwill wear what you want. Stop allowing him to be such a controlling jerk. Grow-up you can talk next time wear whatever you feel like wearing.

What? What do you mean you donate plasma? Is that like donating blood? What does that have to do with what kind of clothing you wear? That last sentence seems like a non-sequiter. That means it doesn't make sense with what you wrote before. Please explain more.

maybe he is afraid that you will run off with some other man and thus wants you to cover up and not look so good. do you have a history of leaving men and/or cheating?
