I realized today that I wish I was more loved. The only pure love I have is from my kids and I have a close friend were we have a platonic love. Other than that no one loves me. I am single and my parents and extended family love me alot, but the love that they give is used to make me feel bad about not meeting their expecations, so I don't feel the love that a human needs from them. I am happy with my kids. I am happy living in an isoalated place, because I dont' have to deal with people alot. But today I realized that I wish I was more loved. Do you wish you were more loved?

Yes....oh hells yes. -_-
But I am aware there's a degree of difficulty involved in loving someone like me. I'm a bit overweight, not exactly handsome or rich, and my own real-life, offline friends really do think I'm too cerebral, shy, quiet, eccentric and just plain goofy for my own good. When, that is, they see fit to *show up*. O_O I have that problem these days, my online people are *way* better friends than my offline, real-life ones.
And yeah, I'm on meds for depression, which for some folks is a deal-breaker, they can't handle "damaged goods", don't want to deal with a "mope". -_-
So I get it....I'm not easy to love. My own family is much like what the Asker described: any "love" given is conditional with *cables* attached, never mind strings. And that's when, once in a blue moon, it's not a head game instead.
But yes....I could use some love here. As in, any. It has me wondering some days, if "love" even exists out there for people like me....
So be thankful for small favors, for the kids and the close best friend. Many *many* people make do with less, not just me.

Actually I feel like I have enough love in my life. But, for once I really want someone special that I can love. And I can make them feel special because I do love them.
I know. Wierd, right? Haha.

Actually, what I wish for is to discover what joy is. That may be something simple to many but I have never known what it is.
I don't think I will ever find it!

i think most people could all stand to have more love...love is something you can never get enough of, its like a drug.
relish the love of your children, some don't even have that :)
