me and my hubby want a baby, But we have intercourse 1x a week were still not prego . Been trying since july. were both 25 so were still young and fertile. is it possible w/ 1x a week? sperm lives 5-6days right?

it does not matter how many times you do it...what matters is when you do it...
you need to figure out when you are ovulating....normally its 2 weeks after your last period has started or 2 weeks from when you period is due. there are ovualation tests you can buy at the drug stores to tell you. the day you ovulate is actually the only day you can get pregnant, if that egg is not fertilized then it starts decending down you tubes and then it sheds and that is your period. but since sperm can live in your body up to like 2 days then there is a couple days that is best for you to have sex to up your chances.....

Once a week? First of all, why just once a week? That seems hideously low...its just you and him. I would never settle for once a week. But thats just me. The best time to have sex is when you are ovulating. But what worked for me, is that I didn't stop having sex. Never cared about the right time, I just had a lot of sex. And now I am 2 days away from my due date and the sex is still going strong.
You could also be worrying too much about this, which is putting you into unconscious stress. Stop worrying so much and have sex more then once a week.

One time a week is probably not going to get you there. Let me tell you how I did it. Worked EVERY time we tried.
Count from the first day of your period. Wait 10 days. Make love that night, skip the next. Make love the third night, skip the next. Make love the 5th night, skip the next. Ttc cycle complete.
You can additionally make love any night except when you're on the love, skip schedule.
Your hubby's sperm count is highest if you give it a day to recover between ttc days.
I ovulate very regularly, obviously, so getting there was no problem for us.

Yes, each time you have sex it is possible. It only takes one time. But, if you are wondering if you can still get pregnant by an ejaculate from 5-6 days ago, that is highly unlikely. The environment in the vagina is not hospitablt to sperm, and thousands are killed off during their journey towards the egg. Most are dead within 48 hours

I would do it at least every second day. Minimum. My hubbie and I TTC for 13 months and finally after every day from the second last day of my period for 2 weeks straight we finally concieved. We are now expecting baby girl #2 in 7 weeks.

once is all it takes, but your best bet would be to do it more often during the week of ovulation. doing it a few more times a week will up the chances of the sperm living to fertilize the egg.

from experience that 1x a week, the right week at the right time under the right circumstance will definitely get u pregnant. i didn't plan it. it was just the right or should i say the perfect moments. the luv was great. i got a daughter.
