A guy hit the jackpot like two seats away from us, he didnt seem to impressed. I think someone else deserved it. He just put another bill into the machine next to him as he was winning.

That's probably because he is at the casino so much and has lost so much money that winning that jackpot still didn't dig him out of the hole.. haha. Blackjack is better anyway. Whoo!!

Why do you think that someone else "deserved" to win? Because he did not jump up and down and get all excited? Or do you think that the only people who should win are people who really can't afford to gamble and do it anyway?.

The gentleman in question could have been a regular gambler, and the jackpot amount was just part of what he enjoyed. He could be playing for fun, and was not that worried about winning or losing.

A responsible player expects to spend money and plays for the entertainment value! When I go to the casino, I set a limit on the amount I will play. If I lose that amount, I am done for the day! If I win big, I will take the winnings and put then away, and anything over my daily limit is going home with me!!

For example, I start with $100 for the day. I am down $65 and hit a $500 pot. I take the $65 out of the $500, restoring my available funds back to the $100 limit, and put the rest ($435) in my pocket and that is going home with me!!

This gentleman may have the same idea! Gambling is supposed to be fun, not about who deserves something more than someone else!!

Proably because he is addicted. Most addictive gamblers think that after a jackpot is given out, most people would leave, so the next pull might be a bigger jackpot. It's a scary thing.

So what does that tell you..the guy is not there for fun right..he hit the jackpot..I doubt you mean a jackpot of several hundred thousand right...you mean like 500-1000...welll guess what..the guy has put his whole paycheck into that machine..so was probably still a big time net loser.
he's probably lost a house and his wife and family as well.
