Why is Schumer promising not to raises taxes on the rich Wall Streeters?

How big of a donation will Schumer and Hillary get from the former CEOs of Citigroup and Merrill Lynch? Both of them destroyed thousands of American families with sub-prime mortgages that they knew could never be repayed.

Don't Dems care about average Americans? Do they just protect the super-rich donors?

Several weeks ago the Dems swore that they would raise taxes on private equity firms from Wall Street. But, the Dems have gotten millions of dollars in "donations" from Wall Streeters and have since change their minds. Sad? Sick?

Doesn't surprise me with NY having Schumer, Clinton & Spitzer; one's worse than the other. The state of NY is doomed unless they wake up.
If Hillary keeps getting thousands of dollars from 'poor' chinese people, she wont have to take the buy offs, ahh, I mean, donations from Citi & ML. As for Schumer, NY should have never let go of Al D'amato...what a mistake only rivaled by electing Hillary.

The house passed the bill to increase taxes on private equity firms today with no Republican support. We will have to wait and see if the Senate Democrats (where they need 60 votes and some Republican support) wimps out, and if they don't will Bush veto the bill. The question is do we have one or two parties owned by Wall Street.

edit: Citigroup and Merrill Lynch didn't make the loans, they together with the hedge funds used them to mess up the financial markets producing a 50% chance of a recession, so their actions will hurt all 300 million of us not just a thousands of over extended families. And our leaders want to continue giving these twits a tax break on the money they made doing this to us?????

No surprise. This question is as nonsensical and completely myopic and one sided as the rest of them.
