You take your turkey, clean out, then take a duck clean out and put inside the turkey. Then you take a chicken, put two different types of stuffing in it, and put inside the duck.
Use herbs of your choice, and/or garlic, and cook slowly. My hubbie's cousins did this for Christmas dinner. It was delicious. I had never heard of it before.

Hi Annelle....hear of this often, but no....never had it. Sounds pretty good actually. Must take a longgggggg time to cook, though!
(Now I'm a cat lover, but have to say that I giggled at the cat reference up at the top!)
Take care. Gracie

I don't know the how whole duck then the whole chicken with stuffings can get inside the cavity of the turkey. The innards of the turkey is not that big of the duck even tiny duck, and the cavity of the duck is small it can not fit the chicken with garlic or any stuffings. You tell this to the Marines, these guys believe every thing a mini skirted broad tells them. Opps, I salute you Sirs !!!

It's called a turducken. A hen inside a duck inside a turkey. They are quite common.
But... how does this pertain to senior citizens?

I just read the post from Gladys and that was the first time I have ever heard about this. I think I might like to try it. (heh heh, the Wickwire gets another nickel for that "why is this in the Seniors room" question).

I haven't seen a duck for sale in our local grocery stores for a long time. This does sound tasty, though. Nothing that would leave a fowl taste in our mouths. LOL

I have heard of this, but never made it. I'll bet it is good. The duck must keep everything nice and moist.
