No, you do not have to have copyright permission for that activity. However, you may not distribute the film at all. You may only show the parts necessary for your presentation. You MUST use proper citations for the film. (MLA Format is usually acceptable - ask your teacher what he/she prefers.) You may NOT charge any admission for your presentation.

Most pictures you can use for non-commercial purposes. Unless it says otherwise, you should be fine.
