In the past decade or so abortion has been declining(less than one million)....meanwhile IVF treatments are becoming more and more frequent. During each IVF treatment at least one if not more embryo's are destroyed. Some women require several treatments before they are pregnant. Insurance companies are now starting to include/cover fertility treatments and it's estimated that 25 million have fertility issues. Bottom line IVF treatments(and alike) are on the rise...they may soon surpass embryo's "destroyed" via abortion.

Will the fertility challenged become a new target(once this happens) of the pro-life supporters?

Probably, unfortunately. Once they realize where stem cell embryos come from (leftovers from IVF that the parents don't want to keep) they may just go after IVF itself. President Bush has already talked about "snowflake babies," where people adopt unwanted embryos. Of course, this is not feasible for all of the unwanted embryos, which I think would far outnumber couples who cannot produce sperm and egg, but the woman can carry a pregnancy, and they would rather adopt a frozen embryo that may or may not come to term instead of selecting their own sperm and egg donors or adopting a baby.

Not only are the unwanted embryos destroyed, but IVF has a low success rate and most embryos that are implanted in the mother will not survive. Pro-lifers may go after IVF in general.

By law, the embryos are both the mother's and the father's business. There was a recent case about a woman who wanted to use her frozen embryos to have another baby, but the father, her ex-husband, did not want her to be able to have another child with his DNA. The courts ruled in his favor.

They have surely been destroying the embryo's in more ways than we can fathom. The government allows some things to be seen and heard after they have fiddled with the process a long time before and already know the outcome.
Have you seen the movie, "CHILDREN OF MEN" and "SHOOT 'EM UP." They both deal with and about the government involving children. Along with the HPV inoculation of our young girls, and now another vaccine to be administered to young girls again that is recently in the news. Between cloning and designer babies, human beings are becoming extinct.

females produce eggs generally that are fertilized (that are classifed as embryos) and that they do no longer connect with the uterus to acheive being pregnant. it is an analogous theory. FYI: maximum docs in the US won't pass extra advantageous than 3 embryos, no longer 6, right into a females. maximum couples choose for to pass merely 2 embryos. you rather ought to do your examine.

People should not refer to anti-choice advocates as pro-life. I am pro-life but very much FOR choice. Yes, the anti-choice nuts are already on the IVF bandwagon. Listen to that nut Sherry on the View if you don't believe me.

They already ARE a target of the Pro-Lifers.

Quite frankly, I think it is purely the mother's business, and ONLY the mother's business.

It's not only the mother's business but the father's business as well.
