I've been blissfully divorced for 5 years now. But let's go back 11 years when I was young and stupid...I thought I loved him. I think I also married him because my step-dad swore up & down that I'd never get married. So what do I do? I married the 1st guy that asked me (we had been dating for 1 yr, was engaged for a full 1.5 yrs b4 we married)! Yeah - my ex-husband turned out to be a cheater and an abuser...boy, I SURE showed my step-dad, didn't I?! I'll NEVER get married again - I'm content just "living in sin" w/ my boyfriend.

I got married not only because I love, but because I couldn't imagine living without him. Our love is not a shallow love like some people think you need to have but a love that sustains us. The key to a happy marriage is being with someone you can be with in good times AND bad because there are both in a marriage. The key is finding the soul mate that will be by yourside and grow stronger with you in all situations. That's why I married my husband. He's my lover, best friend, my everything!

I got married bc I believe in the institution of marriage. I believe it will be a better life for my kids, I believe that it enhance the great life I already have,( having someone to share it with) I believe that is the honorable thing to do when you love someone and want to be committed. And I have been married for awhile, and yes I still feel the same, my reasons for remaining committed to the institution changes but the committment itself is still stronger than ever.

I like this question b/c I can answer very honestly. I am married. Been for 6 years. I can say that I do have the same feelings for my wife now. I should also say however, that I did lose my feelings for her at one time. I fought thru that and it was not easy. She now does not have the same feelings for me. And is contemplating separation. Funny how things go.

I have been married to my husband for 24 years, and my love for him is stronger today than it was 24 years ago. Oh, we've had our disagreements, but with the Lord's help we've managed to work on our problems, and not run away from them. I was attracted to him because of his love for Jesus, and I married him for the same reason. God bless you!!!
