"So in evolution where did the energy come from when the planet was all dirt before life started."
I've got a secret to tell you. There's this enormous, incredibly hot, intensely radiating ball of gas we scientists often like to call the "Sun."

I'm shocked at the number of people touting nonsense about creationism here. The theory of evolution has pretty much been proven, any credible scientist will take evolution over creationism. On the other hand, show me one piece of solid evidence that the theory of intelligent design is correct.
For those saying that certain evolutionary changes are inexplicable, e.g skin colour, they simply are'nt. For instance blonde hair developed because early man was more likely to choose a mate with blonde hair than darker hair. Everything has an explanation.
As for the question it's possible that we won't know the answer for a very...very long time.

Dirt? No pal, dust it´s not necesarily dirt.
For "We" you seem to understand "a human body" and thas not completely true. The so called "We" is a human body(mater) but also a soul, a spirit and other parts equal to us but in different vibration states. "We" are multidimensional beings.
Earth came from the sun as i know and understand and the sun came from... That last I really don't know.
Plants don't eat dirt, plants have roots through which they absorve nutrients, minerals, etc. but also the leaves catch sun rays and feed in this way also.

Genesis 2:7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul. Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return. Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust returns to the earth just as it happened to be and the spirit itself returns to the [true] God who gave it.

Organisms eat our bodies and make dirt. People don't become dirt when they die but are eaten then changed to dirt. In the first chapter of the bible, it goes along the lines of "god made us out of clay(dirt)" so yes to the bottom question if you believe in the bible.

Dust to Dust, Ashes to Ashes, meaning that we come from the dirt and we will turn to aches and become Dirt again. Read the Bible, it explains it better than I can.

well about the energy part i think its simple created by god.. haha..
well about the breathing part then life would be plain boring... you wont have anything else to do.. and people wont have reason to work anymore which means you wont be using computer now you wont have homes to live in.. you wont even be able to wear clothes... theres a reason behind everything god did... well.. maybe someday we'll all die and cockroaches will rule the world

In the bible Genisis explains that Adam was formed of the clay of the earth, and, that God breathed his sprit into Adam.
Which explains how we are not just flesh that turns into dirt, we are sprit. that lives forever.

Every organism dies and deteriorates and becomes "dirt" eventually. We didn't come from dirt. If we did, then every living thing on the Earth did too.
