we all know it's a parasite that comes from pigs, but is it a worm or a bacteria?

I have yet to see photos of it.. anyone here got pics of what it looks like?

Trichinellosis, also called trichinosis, is caused by eating raw or undercooked meat of animals infected with the larvae of a species of worm called Trichinella. Infection occurs commonly in certain wild carnivorous (meat-eating) animals but may also occur in domestic pigs

Neither. The term you are using "trichinosis" is a type of infection. But you are on your way to the right cause of this infection. It is caused by a microscopic worm that lives in the pigs tissue. The infection known as trichinosis is typically a result of eating meat that has not been cooked at a temperature sufficient enough to kill the organism.

Triganosis is the disease that is cause by a worm found in undercooked pork products.
