Oh thank god, my girlfriend is like " No its way too early yea gotta wait til' like 9:30." And i'm sayin its been happy hour since NOON. Thanks for clearing things up.

It's Saturday night at 8:21 pm here -- You are now officially 27 hours and 21 minutes too late to have started on time!!! (Friday 5 pm is the "official" start of the weekend, unless U get off early on Fridays & hit up a Happy Hour somewhere!)
So U could have tied one on last night, hit the sack at midnight (early) or 3 am or even 5 am -- got up at noon & started drinking to continue the weekend festivities through the afternoon & evening. We've been waiting for you since yesterday!

To me it depends on what is planned later on in the evening and how late you plan on being out. I like to start a couple of hours before I go out, that way I can have a couple of drinks, just enough to take the edge off, plus it cuts down a bit on the cost of the drinks whereever I go. 8:20 p.m. sounds late, but if you drink quick, surely you can make it up. Just be careful out there, and don't drink too much. It's not as fun to me if I don't remember what happened the next day!

The perfect time to start drinking is when you feel in the mood. So long as its not 8.20 in the morning then you have way big problems!! What is that thing called the "cocktail hour" what a load of old bollllllocks - its just an excuse - bevvy is bevvy no matter when you drink it. My mother used to "open the bar as she did in the house" at 9.00 p.m. but there is no way of telling when she "shut the Bar"! 8.20 sounds pretty civilized to me. Hell no thats not too soon, far out happy hour in N.Z starts at 6pm so what does that tell ya lol
Eat, drink and be merry mate and drink whenever you feel like it. Some ppl I know of start in the morning so, go for it just dont drink and drive thats all I say otherwise have fun. =)
