Okay, well I am delivering a baby girl in about 1 week. My boyfriend and I have chosen the name for her and she will be Melanie Rose Jeanene Smitch. But, I want to give her a nickname to, so let me know if this nickname makes sense or if you like it. If you have any other ideas let me know. Since her first name is Melanie Rose, we were thinking of the name Melrose.

Melrose is cute. So is Melly.
Honestly though, I think you will find that as she grows a nickname will present itself.
My daughter acquired Beanie as a nickname because all the swaddling in the blankets seemed like wrapping bean burritos and Beanie just stuck with her dad and I. Her real name is Brooklyn but her other nicknames are Goobie, Brocca Rocca, Beanarina, Broccoli, Brooky Wooky etc.
They are all meant to be endearing and I would have never imagined these names before she was born.

I really like it! It does remind me of the person on America's Next Top Model though. It's cute though. Nicknames will come by themselves but Melrose is a great start!

Nicknames rather matter on the child's rather call. while she is born, think of of a few thing cute that reminds you of her call. for occasion, I sometimes call my sister Melissa, Melizzard. My step sister Alison had the nickname Alley Cat. i'm effective you will think of of a few thing once you get to renowned her.
