If the south, north, and west had made a compromise in 1860 before the Civil War, could the Civil War have been avoided? Was there a way to appease all regions that no one considered at the time?

Sure it could have been. For example Lincoln could have allowed the southern states to secede from the Union,as was their right under the Constitution. Then we would have had two separate countries, who could have traded with each other, and run their separate countries as they chose. No one really loses, and chances are things would have ended up better in the long run.

Possibly but not by 1860. The onus for the war probably falls on Martin Van Buren, who allowed the entire situation to fester and solidify into factional hatred.

The War Of The Northern Aggression would have been avoided if them Yankees had gone home and left them boys alone.

No, it was about states rights, and how could you appease those than wanted to traffic in human slavery. I question why the wise and thoughtful founding fathers allow this to take place in the first place

I think the only thing that could have prevented it, would have been to dissolve the nation into independent state nations like Europe.

The simplest way would have been for the Union to allow the South to secede.

My guess is that if that happened, the South would have eventually collapsed. There would have been some fighting internally, with a possible slave revolt, and the emerging government woud have petitioned to rejoin the union.

Yes, but the inability of weak Presidents like Fillmore, Pierce and Buchanon failed to deal with the issue

In retrospect, the Civil War was the only way...and although it was a sad chapter in our history, the eventual outcome was
the united country we now know...

Doubtful. Nearly 150 years later and we still don't even agree about why the war was fought.
