very interesting question. This year the colleges are just like the pros. teams that were competitive are not. Like 10-4 teams last year in the pros are 2 win teams now.
College and the media nd coaches really goofed up, teams up there that shouldn't have been in the top 10.
i feel that something is controlling many things in the US. For example while at the Piggly Wiggly one of the guys there stated that New York was hot, but the teams they beat had something like a combined 6 win and 22 loses and that Dallas had played the same teams except for New England that beat them like a drum.
What is going on? With what has happened to ND it reminds me of when Rocky Felker was at miss state and was building the team and they fired him and the next coach had all the great recruits.
Things look pretty good at washington as they have a defense again, but this breakdown can only mean the country is going back to the 60-70s when we had free speech. Las time ND was beat by Navy was 1963.
Possibly you could contact him and give him some pointers. In todays game vs a wish bone you have to spread out the defense and that would have helped him.
Something is going on. I don't see any hotdogs on the good teams, except durng TDs, fumble recovery. Everyone seems to be playing their assignments on those teams.
If you contact him you could tell him how to hold them. Take care.

He could use the Hubble telescope and it wouldn't make a difference. Hell, the opposing team could hand Charlie the playbook three weeks before the game and Notre Dame would still lose by 10.

No, unfortunately Notre Dame is no longer the powerhouse and the mystique it once use to be. I have been an Irish fan all my life and it is time for them to rebuild and think of the future. Same thing happened in the eighties and we survived. We will be back. We have too much MONEY not to!lol

i don't share the detest you have in direction of the guy...yet I do share your feeling that he sucks as a coach. i don't carry it against him for lobbying for his team, it is his interest. yet I do carry it against him for not prevailing a million significant game in his Notre Dame profession. The win over UCLA became vast for them, and in all risk will bypass down as Charlie's best...it is gloomy, as UCLA merely misplaced to Arizona as properly... The worst section is that he gets like 3 or 4 million to stroll away. humorous how once you get severe up, you may completely suck and blow each and every thing up and nonetheless gets a commission thousands and thousands once you get fired. Does this make any experience? i think of faculties would desire to start putting a floor of their training contracts.. not in terms of money, yet in terms of wins. If a coach is under the floor (minimum form of wins) his settlement could be terminated without payout kit. i'm particular Notre Dame wanted they could have positioned a minimum form of wins in Charlie's settlement. i'm particular every physique inclusive of Charlie could have laughed at 4 wins...yet Charlie would not be giggling now while Notre Dame ought to pull the plug on his deal and be carried out with him...without payout!
