I don't think we can afford to start a war.
For one thing, supposedly the surge in Iraq is helping bring down the violence, I had my doubts but I sincerely hope it is. We have to get that country under control. I don't think we can afford to divert our forces from a strategy that may be working and could very well be our last chance to get Iraq under control, and suddenly divert many of them to Iran, stretching them thinner, and suddenly have more of these terrorists come out because there's no government, then you have all this area with no strong government and terrorists running amok, bordering one another. It would just create a huge bloodbath. I think a War in Iran could be one of the worst mistakes we or any other nation could make right now.

I don't think the world is ready for another war. Even the US isn't likely to invade right now, although a strategic bombing mission or missile launch wouldn't surprise me. What's more likely is that the world will continue tightening the sanctions until either the government backs down or the people rise up in protest.

Ahmadinejad has said that he is trying to produce plutonium for energy only. The U.S. has offered him low grade plutonium that is used for this, in exchange for his stopping efforts to produce it on his own. If he will not accept this from us, then the world will know that he is a liar! Which we already know to be the fact.
No, I don't think that we will take him on at this time, we are already too involved in 2 wars, I don't think that we have the manpower to take on another conflict. We do have an interested friend in the area, one that is concerned by both his words & actions. I'm pretty sure they won't take this lightly! Bet we won't even have to ask them for help!

bosses in that part of the world and they stand firmly
with Iran....
