I am in Cape Canaveral and some of the people say there is a shuttle launch, but on NASA's website I can't find anything saying ther is one.

No, but there's a launch of a Delta rocket this evening, which is second only to the shutttle launch system in power.

They moved the shuttle to the launch pad today for a Dec 6 launch (STS-122).

There will be no other shuttle launches in November. The next one will be around December 6th.

no, not until late december at best, one of the shuttles (discovery) just returned
