Intelligence changes in definition from person to person. Our life experiences shape how we think and define things. Furthermore, it also depends on the context. For instance, some of the things we do in our culture is considered stupid by someone who grew up in a different culture. How can I not be hurt when someone thinks that I am stupid. That one person I care about. They appear to be intelligent because they have more knowledge than me, meaning a more powerful memory. i don't have a great memory, but I can always work on it. How else can I defend myself? To me, intelligence is using what natural abilities you have in a useful, creative way. Intelligence is when you can make a person go WOW!!! Intelligence is hard work and using words to make people stop and question themselves and society.

A good tip: say less, write less, listen more, and do a slight bit more than everyone else. Intelligence is about perception, not those IQ tests (though I did get into Mensa because of an IQ test). But yeah, try applying for Mensa. it'll sure boost your confidence if you get in, because you'll be in the top 5%. Then your boss can't tell you you're unintelligent.

Another trick is to be passive. If anyone tells you you're unintelligent, instead of countering it, tell them you'll try harder. It makes the other person stop talking very, very quickly. Friends will be surprised (you can take advantage of the situation and tease them), bullies will be ashamed, and your boss will be very impressed. I have used it many, many times, and it's worked every single time. The comments immediately stop.

Hope it helps! :)

You might be considered slow or stupid if you are taught a simple skill or problem, but no matter how hard you try, you simply cannot grasp how to perform that function. So, not all intelligence banks on memory. Intelligence is generated and can be acquired. All astronauts are scientists... but it was acquired learning plus a natural curiosity that separated them from other candidates. Acquired knowledge is powerful... that is why we trust a 65 year old heart surgeon. A man is his 30's would make us nervous.

Your boss must be a royal A Hole.

The definition of intelligence doesn't change, what you need to understand i that there is different types of intelligence, for example sport intelligence, michael jordan is a genius but he is very bad in math, so there are many different types of intelligence and you cannot be intelligence in all of them. And the good think about everythings is that you can work in develop the intelligence area that you want to improve.
Speak with your boss and don't feel bad, i know is really bad when somebody underestimate you and is more painful when is somebody that you care a lot. But take this as a challenge.

You be one dumb MoFo!!!

No, just kidding.

Intelligence is relative. Our friend Albert taught us that.

We live in a Verse, some said it was call a Uni but guess what it is actually a Multi, verse.

Anyway, intelligence is relative and increases over time.

Oh, and one more thing. Time is the great equalizer for all of us.

Don't forget to have fun my friend and enjoy as much as you can.

It sounds as though you want to justify your stupidity or lack of! Why do you think you need to defend yourself? If you know that what you said or did came from knowing that YOU were right, why do you have to worry what others think. We become unsure when other people question our motives or reason, but I think we should be that way when we second guess ourselves.

o.k. I didn't read your paragraph but i can tell you this if you actually wrote another question just to argue if you are stupid or not and to prove that to you...wel.. i'm not sure what's up with you.
you should just get over it , someone probably wrote it because they were trying to be funny or because they just couldn't figure out another way to tell you that your decision was not that great.
just please don't ask pple who called you stupid to answer you.
