I saw one, it had gold/hazel eyes.
Is there an Omen to that? & is it good or bad?

I came across it, it just sat there, looking at the people pass by with costumes xD
But anyway I just stared at it for no particular reason, it didn't move.

Myths About Black Cats
Black cats have taken a bad rap throughout history. Greek mythology taught that a woman named Galenthias was turned into a cat and became a priestess at the temple of Hecate, the "Dark Mother," and sometimes known as the Mother of Witchcraft. During the 12th and 13th century, witches in Europe were often found with their "familiars," usually black cats, and were said to turn themselves into cats at times. During the witch-burning era of the 17th century, witches' cats were put into baskets and burned alongside the witches.
Even in the 21st century, old superstitions have survived. In many European countries and in the U.S., black cats signify bad luck, while in England, your luck is said to turn good if a black cat crosses your path.

Cats are there halloween or not ,all sorts of colours whether its night or day [scientific view]
Cats which are black usually mean bad luck ,this is the norm seemingly in my opinion they don't always work that way .Why would a witch in disguise shower you in bad luck just after seeing it ?Unless you poked it with a stick ,burned it fur off [like i did] or other cruel acts which will lead to the SPCA knocking on your door moments frm now .
Do not worry ,the cat sat there it didnt cross your path .lf it intentionally did cross your path ,like you going right to avoid it and it follows along purposely passing your feet [very not cat like behaviour there ]then ya be worried
Cats even have blue eyes ,i saw one at a local resort in the cafe restaurant .Cute little fella ,makes me want to gouge them out and preserve them :D

The Encyclopedia Americana says: “aspects of the customs linked with Halloween will be traced to a Druid ceremony in pre-Christian cases. The Celts had gala's for 2 important gods—a sunlight god and a god of the lifeless (talked about as Samhain), whose pageant changed into hung on November a million, the starting up of the Celtic New 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. The pageant of the lifeless changed into progressively blanketed into Christian ritual.”—(1977), Vol. 13, p. 725. The e book The Worship of the lifeless factors to this foundation: “The mythologies of each and every of the historic international locations are interwoven with the events of the Deluge . . . The pressure of this argument is illustrated through the very reality of the observance of a great pageant of the lifeless in commemoration of the shape, no longer purely through international locations extra or a lot less in verbal replace with one yet another, yet through others broadly separated, both through the sea and through centuries of time. This pageant is, besides, held through all on or about the very day on which, in accordance to the Mosaic account, the Deluge occurred, viz., the 17th day of the second one month—the month almost corresponding with our November.” (London, 1904, Colonel J. Garnier, p. 4) therefore those celebrations absolutely began with an honoring of individuals whom God had destroyed because of their badness in Noah’s day.—Gen. 6:5-7; 7:11.

I'm not sure if i'm correct but- People long ago didn't have alot of commen sense. Which leads them to believe in "Bad Luck" such as Black cats crossing your path.
I think they got the idea because of their black fur. It isn't just on Halloween. Some People think it's on Friday the 13th = )

a black cat was always associated with witches and evil as is the color black. on halloween, witches are said to roam the night, sometimes signified by or disguised as black cats. so it was thought that black cats were bad to have around. whether or not you believe in that sort of stuff is up to the person.
