Example: 10 is 50% of 20. This statement is comparing10 to 20 using percentage as the means of comparison. We could also say 20 is 200% of 10.

If we were using fractions, the comparison would have been 10 = 1/2 of 20 or 20 = 2 times 10.

Another comparison could simpl be 20 is 10 more than 10, or 10 is 10 less than 20.

get the idea?
