Perrinial powerhouses like Michigan and OSU dont look nearly as powerful as they once did in that conference. Teams like Wisconson and the Illini seem like they are starting to emerge as real contenders. Is the power going to shift to different teams or is the conference going to become more balanced where anyone can win any weekend (SEC,ACC)?

i think teams like wisconsin and penn state have always had their share of opportunities, but in recent years the league has been dominated by michigan and ohio state...i think there is some more balance with a team like illinois on the rise, because things like this seem to happen less in the big 10 than any other major conference, there are just very few surprises in this league year after year

I don't think there will be a power shift. OSU is still signing good players thanks to competing for the championship every year and a great coach in Jim Tressel. Michigan and Penn State seem to have trouble matching OSU's pace. But every year there are other Big 10 teams that compete. Wisconsin usually has a really good team, and Ron Zook is working wonders in Illinois. The rest of the teams can compete with the big boys every now and then as well.

No. The perennial powers aren't as good, but the other teams are worse. Illinois lost to Iowa, Wisconsin got blown out by Penn State, who could barely beat Indiana. No team in the conference has a notable non-conference win, and the conference has two losses to I-AA teams.

Anyone can beat anyone because they all suck.

wisconsin was on the road to a terrible season until today. i think all of college football and basketball for that matter is getting much improved, by coaching, more kids playing these sports, and conditioning. i dont think they are as powerful as the sec or pac-10 like they used to be.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

OSU has dominated.

ILL with that first TD? Was that not a fumble?

That's what I thought.

Don't mention OSU and Michigan in the same sentence EVER again.

GO BUCKS
