Hurt feelings. Ohio State thought it was unfair that they had to play people older than 17. I guess they just couldn't schedule enough high schools.

I'm a die-hard Illini fan and go to school there. I was at the game and I know exactly what happened. Sure some of it was that the poor Buckeyes finally got trampled, but the main cause was that OS has their post-game talk on the O in the middle of the field and a couple Illinois players were still celebrating in that area. NO, they were not purposely doing it to taunt them. Illinois football is a great program and they were having a respectful celebration after a great game. Of course, the OS players took it seriously and had a wee bit too much adrenaline so they got mad and tried to get even with fists instead of showing some grace. Case closed. ILL-INI !!!!

Just so it's completely clear, Columbus did not burn last night. As a matter of fact, most fans were so dejected that they went home and watched highlights on the news. Those highlights included what started the fight (Illinois players jumping on the logo at midfield).

seems to me that football is a comptetetive sport and emotions were high and that is it. trying to make something more out of this is imbecilic and most likely from two sources. michigan idiots and illini fans high on what was a great performance. sounds like alot of people are bitter at the success of the Ohio State athletic programs.

osuhazar...no Florida or Georgia players were fighting.

edit: BTW Florida State players used to do that stomping on the opposing team's logo and it started several fights. It is very low class.

The Fighting Illini players were just asking the Luckeyes to look at the scoreboard. Ohio State has been a notorious smack talking team and the players couldn't take a loss to a good club.

I noticed at the last play when OSU clearly lost, Illinois went to kneel the ball and OSU defense jumped over the line and tackled the QB.....that's just rude....then the Illini players were laughing it off and OSU got pissed cuz their luck finally ran out.

ohio state players were being little girls and couldn't take a loss. i agree that it was probably because they couldn't schedule enough high schools to beat up on. they finally had to play a real college. osu never deserved to be #1.

The Illinois players were stomping on the Buckeyes logo in the center of the field after the game. That's disrespectful and they deserve to get beat up.

Typical Buckeye fans. They can't take it if they lose a game. They need to go to the SEC where all they do is show off and fight each other. GO BLUE!!!

OSU = sore losers. The Ill. players were kind of laughing it off that the OSU players were throwing fists.
