Okay, I am a simple man and in my opinion a Poltergeist is exactly what the term means, a noisy ghost. there are theories in the paranormal community that suggest a poltergeist is not a ghost at all but is caused by teenage girls going through the normal cycle of growing up and it si caused by their emotions being so unstable during this time of growth. I personally reject that theory but I know many people who believe this. As far as what you are experiencing. I cannot say unless I could do some research and investigation which that is not possible. I would consider the possibility that this could be a discharge from your cat like another poster suggested. Keep investigating and try to find a natural reason for this to be happening. anyone who burns candles know that some candles are white candles with coloring on the outside. This is what I get most of the time when buying candles in stores but when making candles if the die is placed into the hot, liquefied wax, then the candle will be that color all the way through. The very first thing I would suggest is to make sure you do not have an intruder entering your house without your knowledge. It is not very often I hear about this but every once in a while I see on the news where people in a house will experience strange things like you are and come to find out someone had been entering their home without their knowledge.

Yes. I used to live in an old house, well it used to be a General store in the 40's. This, at the time, used to be were all the neighbors would gather when there was a terrible storm.
The house is across the street from a corn field & just beyond that there used to be a wagon trail that was used to transport what they needed.
During a strong or violent storm, I used to hear people walking in the middle of the house. The gentalman that used to own the house would walk around and leave his face print from the outside looking in, on the window. This would occur on a very cold morning. The owner, has been deceased for 20+ years now. If I closed my curtins at night before bed and in the morning they would all be open. I always had wind chimes inside the house & they would start ringing about a half and hour before a bad storm would hit.
Out in the barn, my horse tack & hay bales would be moved around. The horses tack would be hung in a different place.

There are just too many things to list, but these are a few.

I have laid things down, knowing where I put them and went later to get them and they would be gone. Even later, they would be back again. This happens a lot. I find things where I know I did NOT put them. I don't think mine are Poltergeists though. I think mine are Gremlins.

No I have not. I enjoy reading about them though. It's interesting that the only really well documented cases turn out to be perpetrated by frauds.

Yes. And he was a real hoot. Always up to some mischief. Tried to scare people but really was just funny, he wasn't very scary at all.

my dad named our cat polti, short for poltergeist.

we named him that because he would scratch on our doors at night, and would run up and down the upstairs corridor
but only when he was a kitten.
