How to do it would be the problem. Do you feign illness, that would be the only way you could leave early. Do you get ill before an hour,or half an hour, without upsetting a close friend?I would probably do it, but if they are that important you better never do it again.

I'll choose a party arranged by close friends and take my girlfriend over there as well so that both are happy.
