Would it be considered denial if I said I wasn't in denial ?
The thing is that it tends to be an automatic self defense mechanism so people who have it don't recognise it, once they recognise it they have to start dealing with the issues they were protecting themselves against.
Having said that, life is good and, as far as I know, I'm not hiding from anything- or should I say that if I am then obviously I'm not ready to let myself see that yet ?

Not much really. I thik realistically most of the time and tend t get over things quickly, or rather, have taught myself to accept reality, work on solutions rather than swim in a denail state. I think its something you can train yourself to do. Then again it is difficult to do because you'd be fighting what you would do naturally.

Denial comes from not wanting to live in the moment.(reality) we refuse to see the truth and make up excuses to justify them! We would all be happier if we didn't, but alas! Some of us relish it!

I consider myself to be fairly realistic.. So I don't think I'm in denial too often-or hopefully not, anyway.

Good question.
