I made a mistake in having unprotected sex with my (now) ex-boyfriend. I'm unsure if I'm pregnant...the sex has mainly occured in like, the last two months, but I had my period in September/beginning of Oct. I was due to get it again on the first of November. I am very regular and always start on either the 31, 1, or 2. I'm now a week late, but I've been having "symptoms" for about two weeks. I'm EXTREMELY tired, constipated, and have been having unsual cramps the last few days. I'm also dizzy easily and food doesn't sound good. I feel fine, otherwise, not like I have the flu or anything. Normally before my period my breasts become tender, I get really moody, and I can "feel" it coming. So far, I haven't had the usual symptoms. i've had my period for six years and I know the signs, and these aren't it.

Well if you think youve already missed your period then you can do a test. Having a baby isnt the easiest job in the world (with or without a partner) but it can have its rewards. I'm 18 and have a 2 year old and a 12 weeks old. If you are pregnant you should think about sitting down with your ex and ask him if he is willing to be a part of the childs life. Perhaps you could talk to a friend or relative if your unsure on how you feel about.
All the best.

first, ignore darkpigo... he is an idiot and super immature. yes, you shouldn't have unprotected sex if you are not ready to be pregnant, if not just to prevent getting any STD. but getting pregnant no matter at what age is still a beautiful thing. you are creating life. and having a baby at any age doesn't mean you have ruined your life. your baby will be the most wonderful thing that happened to you.
if you are only a couple of weeks late the home pregnancy test won't be accurate. its best to wait til at least when you are a month late. i'm currently carrying my first child and when i got pregnant i waited til i was about a month late before i took my test. it came out positive on my first try, but i did a second test just to make sure. than i went to the doctor to confirm again that i am pregnant.
even if your period is normally steady, it doesn't mean it will always will be. i'm in my 20s now and my period flow has changed. when i asked a nurse she said its normal that your period flow will change at different stages of your life. its not always going to be constant.
before i got pregnant i usually have my period every month, but there were two times when i missed my period for two months, and once i missed a month.
its possible that you are just late because you are feeling stressed from being worried of getting pregnant.
if you are really worried, the best way is to go and see an OBY-GYN doctor. everyone's body is different and can experience the same things differently. non of us can give you a professional advice and can be wrong. even if someone claims they are a doctor here we really don't know for sure if they are. or if you are scared or shy to go by yourself, ask a friend that you can trust to go with you. they are always a good source of support :)

hi,
If you are only a week late you should wait another week or so. when i fell pregnant i had sore breast and some cramping. I did a p/t like a week after my pissed period and it was negative but then a week later i did 2 and they had a faint positive. it takes a few weeks for your HCG levels to come out. this makes the pregnancy test positive. So my advise is just wait another week or so and if you don't get your period go see a doctor and they can do a blood test which can tell if you are pregnant.
Good luck

Its very normal to have your period the first few months, in your pregnancy. Im 19 and just had my baby 2 months ago, I had alot of those same symptoms as well. You can also miss your period if your stressed, your best bet is to buy a test. It dont really matter on the brand just make sure you get one that has 2 sticks.
Good Luck.

Well you might be pregnant but to make sure take a pregnacy test. They are 99% accurate. 18 is not a bad age to have children. Congrats if you are. As for the guy he is the one that loses

stress is a major factor for missed periods if you are regular, but also test again. but also remember some meds do help in giving a negative reading. so your best bet is a blood test if you are not satisfied with the results.

Take a home pregnancy test or go to your doctor and get a blood test done. Always use a condom unless you are ready for a child.
