I have heard of that before and have seen it happen once with the bose system that are in some cars.Personally,all my cd's are burned and any other cd player than the bose system, I have put them in they all work just fine.

depends on how its burnt... if its a MP3 cd then some older cars will not play. if its burnt as a regular music cd then it will play no problem. check the cd player in the car. if its just says CD PLAYER or the alike.. then itll only play regular music cds. if it says MP3/WMA/AAC or something like that then itll play mp3 cds also.

True. The player has to be compatible with CR-R media.

Also - some player will and wont play MP3's.

Carry a sample around with you when you shop.
