Bali is on my to do list! But I can recommend a couple of absolutely idyllic places.
Maldives - absolutely stunning, with crystal clear blue waters. We stayed in a water bungalow that had steps down into the sea. We swam with the most amazing fishes and were lucky enough to see dolphins, black tip reef sharks and conga eels, all from the balcony of our bungalow. The sands are white golden and fine and the people are just amazing. One evening we ate freshly cooked lobster on a deck overlooking the beach, watching crabs scrabbling around in and out of the moonlit water.
Thailand - Krabi, we were very lucky to stay at the Rayavadee, a hotel on a peninsula that can only be reached by boat. We had a two storey bungalow with a private pool in the garden. At times of the day monkeys would visit and swim in the pool! The scenery is stunning, towering limestone rocks climb out of a blue-green sea, if you have seen 'The Beach' with Leonardo de Caprio then the scenery is exactly the same. The Thai people are so friendly as well.
Australia - the Gold Coast, just for the sheer expanse of beach. It goes on forever with little clusters of people but is not crowded at all. The sea isn't calm though, but you see loads of people kite surfing which is fantastic. South Stradbroke Island is a wildlife sanctuary with fine white powder sand dunes that go on for miles and beyond them is nothing but the sea.... Then half an hour in a car and you are up in the mountains with the bluest skies and emerald green trees and watching the lorrakeets. We visited waterfalls and stood on the edge of a mountain and all the eye could see were rolling mountains of green.....
Oh now I want to go away tomorrow!

I am 53 years old. the last idyllic thing I did was when I was 7 years old. I started learning to fish by wading into a river with a jam jar in my hand and learnt to catch minnows, millers thumbs and sticklebacks with my bare hands.
I used to hold the jar up to the sun light with each new catch and watch the fish wriggle in the water and I was often amazed at how alien they were. Astonished that creatures on TV were so obviously made of cardboard while this creature I had caught was nothing less than a miracle.
If you can find an idyllic holiday, please let me know. If you are looking for a stereotypical middle class bit of travel...don't bother. Thanks.
LOL...intelligent!...Have you tried Butlins?

In the Bernes Oberland in Switzerland. Go to the Hotel Beau Site in Adelboden. Kuoni Holidays brochure covers this hotel. You will never go anywhere else for a few years once you go there. Go in mid June onwards for hot sunny weather.

My relatives has been to Orlando, Florida some circumstances. We rented a holiday homestead and in the present day it felt like homestead. Very comfortable, inner maximum pool and all. there are various different places to pass in Orlando besides Disneyland. you additionally can try Hawaii, Aruba, or California. the better component to going to any of those places is which you have the possibility to swim with dolphins! :) wish you have relaxing everywhere you pass. :)
