I would be using this vehicle to move in, not to transport people. When I carfaxed the vin number it was called a cutaway. I live in Pennsylvania moving to Mississippi. Thank you.

Dennis is mostly correct but you should NOT black out the windows, in many states this IS illegal.
I only know that in NH you have to have a CDL to drive vehicles with more than 14 passengers, so it depends on the localities, you should also try checking with your local DMV or ask a state trooper.

Cutaways are simply van front ends, long chassis with a bus body slapped on. I suggest you to at least go out an practice maneuvering the bus, backing up, parallel parking and such. KEEP all the mirrors on it, they HELP bigtime. Learn to use those mirrors when backing up. Find a big parking lot and go for it.
I would check your state's requirements for you to use it for personal family use, be safe not sorry.

If there are no passengers I would see no reason for a special license. Check with a highway patrol or your local dmv

If you purchase the bus for personal use no special drivers lic. is required. you will not be allowed to cary people other than yourself and immediate family. just nake sure you remove all seats except the ones you need and I would black out all windows then register it as personal use only.
