Assuming you mean Greek history rather than myth I would have to go for 300. Over the top, comic book, violent and gorey, but the essence of Sparta's stand is there, and it is fundamentally a good old rip-roaring adventure.

"Jason & the Argonauts" (1963) is my favorite film treatment of Greek mythology. The TV miniseries is rather poor, which was a great disappointment to me. But, we still have the amazing original, with Ray Harryhausen stop-motion effects and grand and glorious music by Bernard Herrmann.
"300 Spartans" (1962) is interesting if not wholly accurate since they couldn't have nudity at that time in films. They had to "Hollywoodize" the story, but it's still inspiring, without relying on the gore and histrionics of "300", which sort of blew it out of proportion to an almost-comical degree.
Others I enjoy are:
The Odyssey (1997 TV movie)
Ulysses aka The Odyssey (1955)
Clash of the Titans (more mythology)
Helen of Troy (1956)~The TV miniseries was reasonably good.
