Hi Qwerty!

I definitely know where you're coming from on this one! I was quite worried at first because I was feeling period-like cramps and sharp twinges of pain at times...so I did talk to the nurse about it over the phone and she said it's all normal, but to a point. She said if it gets so bad that I can't stand and if the pain lasts longer than an entire day then I should get to the ER right away. But, of course I haven't felt nearly anything close to that. In my opinion, it is all the muscles, ligaments and the uterus growing and stretching. I never went through this in my first pregnancy, so it's all new to me (the pain of the growing baby). My first pregnancy was smooth and peaceful....so I can't imagine why I'm feeling pain now!! You would think my uterus knows what's happening!

My advice is that your body is growing to meet the needs of your baby....yet, if it gets really bad and unbearable, call your GYN asap.

Good luck!

Yes, that is normal. I am 8 weeks and had those same pains. I was concerned about an ectopic pregnancy as well, then went in for my first appointment at 7 weeks and all is well.

From what I have read, an ectopic pregnancy is very sharp lasting pains associated with some blood at first and also neck pain (especially when you lay down).

I am sure you are just fine :)

Yes, moderate cramping is ordinary, as is the pain on your ovary. It's normally brought about by your body beginning to organize to your pregnancy. Being pregnant hormones do all varieties of unusual and bizarre matters to our bodies. The sharp affliction to your aspect perhaps circular ligament soreness, and it will have to go away when you lie down. If the agony suddenly become intense or very painful, and if it doesn't go away whilst you drink a pitcher of water and lie down, or when you begin bleeding closely, go to the ER immediately. Also if you happen to get a high fever. In case you a gentle purple bleed, or heavy recognizing that isn't dark brown or mild crimson, call your health practitioner and ask to be visible as soon as feasible. Good luck! I'm hoping you may have a glad and healthful 9 months.

It could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy although usually the pain is quite severe. I would call the doctors or a hospital just to be safe. It's always better to be safe than sorry, that's what I always say.

I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing this as well. I think it is completely normal and remember getting it with my other two kids as well. My doctor explained it as your uterus and pelvis is expanding and getting everything organised and can cause some brief discomfort. It is continues and gets worse then it may be cause for concern.

An eptopic pregnancy is unmistakeable. You would have a constant, excrutiating pain if its was.

I am also hungry all the time!!! But my nausea is making me not want to eat! A horrible catch-22 in my case!

Hope that helps ease your mind! Congrats and relax!

First you don't know if the pain is in the ovary area. Pain can radiate and feel like it is there. Second, while pregnant, you have to understand that ALL of your organs have to move around to make room for "baby" and this moving can cause some pains. I don't know what a BFP is -- I just know I had two babies and had pains through pregnancy --- same type pains. Oh and so did my daughters-in-law.

It could be a normal sign but it could be an etopic. Just for safeties sake I would call your DR and express your concerns about your pain and you are worried of an etopic. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your life
