It turned out your were right and the lyrics are just weird?

When I first heard Radiohead's Everything In it's Right Place, I swore he sang "Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon". Guess I was right!

Yes, on the song Money For Nothing by the Dire Straights, I was listening and could have swore it said that little f@ggot is a millionaire, but I thought nah, probably not. Then I looked up the lyrics online and I was right. Who'd have thought? Not me that's who, lol.

Oh yes. When I first heard the Shin's Kissing the Lipless, I thought for sure that it couldn't be right that he was saying "...and your sheets were still growing grass along the corners of your bed" (among other weird but delightful things), but I looked up the lyrics, and it was right! And there are so many other examples of this that I can't think of now because my iTunes library just got totally wiped out and I haven't had time to restore it yet. (It's very very hard to live without about half of my music collection)

If you're looking for funny lyric mishearings, go to http://kissthisguy.com It's a fabulous site, and it showed me that I am not the only person who thought that the Grateful Dead's Sugar Magnolia contained the phrase "tastes like chicken when I speed"

yea, when i heard the misifts song horror business, i thought he said "you don't go in the bathroom with me" cuz that's what it sounded like, so that's just what i sang.

but then i finally looked them up, and that's really what he says! but it kinda fits with the rest of the song when you read all the lyrics.

but i still sang it, even though i was certain they were wrong. but then i looked them up, and that's really what he says.
lol

Iggy Pop - Lust for Life

I never believed I was hearing lines like, "Thats like hypnotizing chickens," correctly till I read the lyrics.

Yes, in the song "Secrets Don't Make Friends" by From First to Last. Towards the end I was like...they can't be screaming "F*ck You!"....can they? Turns out they were!
