They say that opposites attract
But, old cliches aside
Sometimes there can be harmony
When different worlds collide
He didn't like her scrutiny
Or cynical critique
He thought she was a new age gal
She thought he was antique
She was a forward thinker
And a fervent feminist
While he relived the good ol' days
And loved to reminisce
It seemed their only common ground
Was that they both loved money
So she laughed at his tired jokes
And told him they were funny
Even though his pate was bald
And fringed with hair of gray
He loved to look at pretty girls
He'd always been that way
When he made his millions
A toupee he had donned
He got a red convertible
Then added a young blonde
They eloped one afternoon
Exchanged vows, rings and kisses
Then returned to his estate
Old mister and young missus
He got himself a trophy wife
She got a spending spree for life
She had a means to a fine end
He was the envy of his friends
And so, it wasn't a bad trade
They both would get their thrill
Since he had one foot in the grave
And she was in the will.

She was new age spiritual,
Meditation filled her time.
He was more traditional,
His prayers the old fashioned kind.
She liked new age music
With nature intertwined.
For him it was Roy Orbison,
The Big Bopper, and those times.
She was in to channeling,
He liked channel 9,
She studied holistic health,
Crop circle, UFOs.
He clipped coupons endlessly
Yeah!!! 50 cents off oreos!!
Phenomena around the world
Were always on her mind.
He was mainly interested
In finding old rare dimes.
But when old school met new age,
Still the sparks did fly.
Her new age view could not prevent
Falling for a fuddy-duddy guy.
