A classic song from U2 : "In the name of love, what more in the name of love", is basically the same. We use the "name" of love and god to justify the human stupidities.

When I saw this question, (my memory being like a steel trap), I remembered a question I asked at least two months ago. You might find some interesting insights if you care to look it up on my page.

Zelda's answer also recalled why I asked the question. Why such violence & destruction was "justified" as in the name of God, also the part politics play, the strategy & power of nations, how fear & hatred are factors. I believe there were at least 23 answers. I honestly think you'd find them insightful or wouldn't have mentioned it.
As to your question, I don't believe there is any limit to man's inhumanity to man "in the name of God." Hasn't this flag been flown throughout history?

Strange that you would say this. We say in the name of God but this does not come from God but a human. How easy it is for humans to put the name of God before something and none of these humans even know if it is pleasing to God.

You're talking about killing, war, destruction of the environment, degradation of our social environment, ignorance forced upon people, lies institutionalized for profit or power. All of it "in the name of God." Can we wash it all clean with our tears?
