I hate it about myself that I am so lazy and that I never finish anything etc. How can I motivate myself? Nothing seems to work. If I bribe myself with a reward I just take the reward and not do the work. I have so much at stake to succeed. My childs future but I still can not bring myself to work hard. I just faff around.

hahaha you are just like me. I have started following through with things...like going to my zen group and other stuff and its really rewarding! who knew! and half the time i never want to go but someone said once that when you really don't want to go then thats when you really need to go and they are right! And your instincts..try and start listening. LIke i didn't go to zen this week and i felt bad inside but when i go i feel good..so when you are going to blow something off take a second and really listen to yourself..how does this really make me feeeel? am i cheating myself?
Also microactions are good. For example you want to go jogging but you never do. One day just get changed into your jogging clothes thats all you have to do..do that for a week then the next week walk to the front door ..open it in your jogging gear and breathe in the fresh air and bam you are done..eventually you will just go..hmmm maybe since i am already changed i will jog to the letterbox..etc etc.
