My doctor recently perscribed orthotricyclen lo for me because of severe cramping but the pharmacy gave me trinessa. I'm afraid to take them because I've heard and read so many negative things about them....

HI..my doctor prescibed me the orthotricylen also and at the pharmacy they gave the trinessa.Its the exact same thing its the generic version.I have never had any problems with it.My periods come at the same time every month and i dont have cramps like i use to.

Your pharmacy dispensed the wrong medication. Trinessa is the generic for regular Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo has no generic. It is still on patient. Trinessa has no more side effects than any other birth control pill.
