I just recently found out I'm having a girl, I was expecting it to be another boy. My sons name is Braxton Jacob, so I wanted to keep it similar to that, the only girl name that I like thats "Br.." is Brettlynn and call her Brett. I want to keep the "J" but its up in the air at the moment. I like Brettlynn Camille and Brettlynn Jade... but Im not for sure. Any other suggestions would be great.. also another guestion, this baby will be taking my last name, so if I went with "J" for a middle name.. it would be BJN for intails... think kids will later be dirty and make fun of it? My sons initials are BJT so it wasn't a problem that I had to deal with.

Thanks for all the replies!!

So... I didnt really ask if you ppl liked Brettlynn or not. I like it and thats all that matters, I dont want a trendy name that will fall between the rest of the "ianna" "iley" and "onca" they've become to original and trendy. Braxton is not common, although becoming more popular, not common, neither is my name which is def. not a girl name and I love my name.. its Perri. I made up Brettlynn, and I like it. There is nothing wrong with it. I asked for "J" middle names, thank you for all your responses good/bad, however it doesnt help me at all.. I only need middle names not how bad you think Brettlynn is. Thank you again, and I would still like "J" suggestions. Thanks :)

I think Brettlynn is a beautiful name. Unique, but not ridiculous, so I love it.

I think BJ will but cute as a nickname and I find it rather cool with a girl goes by her intials (like AJ)

I like Brettlynn Jade, but I love Brettlynn Jada. (Jade-Da) I think it adds more glam and sophistication to the name. Jada is classy and modern, but Jade is fine. Also, it works will together!

I don't like Brettlynn Camille. It doesn't flow together and the name Camille sounds old fashioned to me.

Seriously I think Brettlynn is gorgeous, and so is Brettlynn, but have you considered spelling it Brettlyn, with only one n? I like that even more. Brettlynn Jade is lovely, but Brettlyn Jada is better. I think you should go with the name!

Congratz on you baby girl and good luck choosing a name!
(BTW, what is so "dirty" about the intials BJN?? I'm in grade 8 and I've heard know most of the "dirty" and "trashy" words out there, so what's with BJN??)

I think it would be nice to keep the BJ initials but Brettlynn just doesn't fit the bill for me. Its too masculine sounding which is okay if she is a tomboy.

What about these 'B' names...
Bianca Jade
Bethany Jade
Bailey Jade
Belinda Jade
Bonnie Jade
Bernadette Camille

Or other BR names...
Brooklyn
Bridget
Brianna
Breyhr
Braelyn (i think this would be a better alternative to Brettlyn)
Bria
Brielle
Briley
Bridie
Briony

Or you could do the reverse initials of JB....
Jessica Brooke
Jayda Brielle
Jesslyn Briley

Hope that helps...

Good luck and congratulations!

I dont like Brettlynn....the lynn part is cute but I hate Brett for a girl. It just sounds too masculine for a girl. Since you like the "Br" sound...I would suggest Briana, Brianna, Brianne, Briella, Brielle, Brie, Bria, Brienna, Brietta, Briette (those will still give you the sound of Brett with the t's) or if you want something with lynn at the end perhaps Brielynn or Brialynn (and Brie or Bria for short, which sounds much more feminine as a nick name for a girl). If you want something starting with "J" for a middle name...I like Jade a lot and my daughters middle name is Jolie, which is elegant and beautiful or you could try Juliette, Julianne, Julie, Jada, Jelena, Jelene, Jolene, Jolena, Joliette depending on what you choose as a first name. But please dont choose Brettlynn as a first name because I think your daughter will not like it when she is older. Because like I said , Brett is a boys name. There are so many other girls names out there that start with Br that are so beautiful and cute to choose from. My suggestions would be Brianna Jolie or Brianna Jade, Brianne Jolie, Briella Jolie, Briella Jade, Briella Juliette, Brielle Jolie, Brielle Juliette, Brietta Jade, Brielynn Jade, Brienna Jade. Hope that I helped.
