Socks seem to have a life of their own. I think perhaps one might be more adventurous than the other. That's the one that is always traveling. It leaves home, never to be seen again. I expect if I ever make it to Tahiti I will find all my run away socks sunning themselves on the beach.

Yes...slippery little beggars aren't they.
I think they must go into the great sock mountain.
For some years now the only man in our house was my Husband, then my two older Sons came home for a few months....what a nightmare there are odd socks all over the house.
My husband rarely finds a pair in his sock drawer, every now and then he cleans out this draw in anger and puts all the odd sock into a bag for the bin. I take them all out again and put them back upstairs and eventually some socks turn up and hey presto we have another pair.
Sometimes I wear his odd socks under my boots......hope I dont end up in hospital or my secret will be found out....

Because there's a little hole in
the back of the dryer, and when a sock gets near it....
WOOSH, it's sucked out!
So what I do is wear mis-matched sox. People say
"Your sox don't match." I say,
"I know, I have a pair just like
them at home.
(When you're a Senior they
just think your nuts, so I let
them think that.)
Oh, here's a good one for
trying to cross the street.
Take a step out and then begin limping very bad and
moan as you walk. Sometimes it works, but watch out for the guy in the far lane that's doing 60 mph.

I very rarely wear socks, only if it is extremely cold. I barely even wear shoes, except to go out, even then it is flip-flops or slip on shoes. I like my feet to feel free. I am always walking around barefooted. Just me. I do not worry about the lost sock in the dryer.

The scary part is when you pull out more socks from the dryer than what you put in. Those little dryer gnomes are always messin' with our minds.

I don't know. I have given up with socks. I keep my own but everyone else has to be responsible for their own. I put my foot down on that situation. Now off with you just put a sock in it. Sorry don't be offended please don't put the boot in now the shoe is on the other foot.

As soon as you take them off put in a little gold safety pin to keep them together.Keep a box of them beside your bed. That way you can always have them handy!

Mine too, they just must prefer living alone rather than in pairs, my house is like the Bermuda triangle for hosiery.
