I took the GMAT today and earned a shocking 560. My practice scores usually ranged from 640-670, with verbal scores in scaled 40-42 points. I scored better in quantitative than in verbal today (wow, the irony). So yah, I'm dazed.

That being said, the average GMAT score of enrolled students in the Northeastern MS in accounting/MBA program is 580.The average GPA is 3.25. Northeastern is my first choice, and I also hoped to receive a scholarship upon acceptance. I have a GPA of 3.89 from a small college. Now that my chances of getting a scholarship (or an assistantship of some sort) are slim, I'm wondering if I could even get in.

I've sent in application materials already. I have no full-time work experience (although none is required for the program), but I have leadership experience and I'm engaged in various extracurricular activities. Do I retake the GMAT or hope for the best? Please advise me here...

I think you have a decent shot at Northeastern. Most people don't do as well on the actual exam as they do on the practice tests, where there is no pressure, so this is not unusual, and Northeastern is not an elite school. As far as your lost hopes for a scholarship, you should know that very few schools offer scholarships for MBA programs at all, so this was a long shot even if you had a 750 on the GMAT.

in case you won't be able to benefit a respectable GMAT score, you do not belong in an MBA application. after all, you shoud be getting a draw close's in technologies administration, no longer an MBA. extra "PE- did you examine the question? did you recognize what MIS is? who said something about MBA?" Do you comprehend what the GMAT exam is for? that is for MBA classes, very few of that are categorised "MIS". MIS colleges are far extra in all probability to require GRE rankings. i changed into giving this question the great factor about the doubt.

I hope I could learn something valuable from you, that'd be great. And I am also available if I can be of further help. Thank you! davidlau2003@hotmail.com

My guess? You have a good shot regardless, but if you can possibly re-take the GMAT and have it submitted in time for consideration, go ahead.
