It may not be right, but women know what it feels like to be hurt by guys...no matter how much we love our men, we may not expect that much of them, because society leads us to believe that guys have different "needs" and should not be held accountable. Women, on the other hand, are supposed to be sensitive to this and not make it more difficult for another woman and her relationship.

I personally think it's because it's this unwritten code amongst women that IF YOU KNOW the person is married, then you should have walked the other way instead of cheating. Even if they didn't know, it's still kind of a hard pill to swallow and we put blame on everyone involved. Married women might forgive their spouse because anyone can walk away from a marriage but it takes special people to work through their issues. Some people feel that means even if a spouse cheats, you try and work it out before ending in divorce. I am a strong believer in working it out, but I can't say for sure I'd be able to stick around if my husband cheated on me. As for putting blame on someone else, everyone deals with hurt and anger in different ways. If everyone is open and honest, and stands by their vows and committments in marriage, then cheating shouldn't happen in the first place.

I think a lot of times in this situation, the two women start comparing themselves to the other, and feel resentful that the man would see something in her "rival" that he doesn't see in her. So she figures, if I can get rid of her, then I win, i.e., I'm better than she is. It is easier to focus on the other woman than wondering "Why aren't I good enough for him?"
To be honest though, even if the wife "forgives" him, things never go back to normal. Generally, that is the begining of the end, and things spiral into a really nasty situation from there.

I would say that the woman forgives her man b/c they have a history together and the other woman probably got in the way of the couples happiness. Woman can be very jealous when they suspect cheating!!!!

Most women treat will react that way instead of being mad at the one who really deserves it. But, remember, its not the other woman who is parent their children, major bread winner of the family, maybe they are too scared to be alone, or territorial, "why should I give up my man to her? I'll just drive away the competition"

The wife feels the need to get everything back to normal, so instead of accusing her husband as a filthy letch, she accuses the other woman as seducing her innocent man.

Because they probably thought they both loved the guy and instead of realizing the guy was the jerk they think that the other woman is the one in the way of their happiness.

Hmm honestly women are catty towards each other naturally. But when my ex cheated on me I was more mad at him than I was the girl cause he lied to her and he lied to me. But afterwards little Ms. Thing kept calling after she knew he was married and after she knew we wanted to work things out, then I got mad at her.

I think it is a territorial instinct we have deep rooted inside. Conjures up jealousy or something.
Its not that we don't want or like other women to succeed, just that it needs to be done on their own grounds and not taken from another women.
