Tough question
Kovalchuk is tops in the NHL in goals
Malkin is tops in in the NHL in assists
Nikolai Antropov leads all Russians in +/-
Pavel Datsyuk on the other hand is second among Russians in +/1, second among Russians in assists (and 3rd overall)
So, I'm going to take Pavel Datsyuk as the best Russian TODAY.
In time that mantle will belong to Ovechkin, but not today.

The Islanders are 9, 8, 5 respectively. entire so some distance 17, 12, 15. See how uncomplicated this is. Now you in basic terms could desire to do it for something of the league! I checked the precise 30 scorers interior the league: Austria a million Canada 15 Czech 2 Finland 2 Germany a million Russia 5 Slovakia a million Sweden 2 US a million so which you notice this is nevertheless a Canadian pastime. I would have to say Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals. He is an offensive powerhouse who can play defensively as well. He likes the physical game and leads by example. Some other Russians to keep an eye on are Evgeni Malkin in Pittsburgh and Ilya Kovalchuk in Atlanta. Those are my top 3.

There's quite a few Russians that are just sick, but I'd have to say Ovechkin's my favorite right now... he's going to be insane in a couple of years.

Ovechkin and Malkin, in my opinion. Both amazing players; different, but each has such amazing skill.
Kovalchuk and Fedorov are up there, too. Ah, there are just so many....
